About Us
Why Avoca Tales?
Two reasons actually. First, we have a favorite pride of lions that live in the Kruger area of South Africa - the Avoca pride. We admit, that when we visited them, we fell in love - (check out our South Africa Wetlands and Safari trip). They are such a cool pride, that they even have their own Facebook page. We think that the world would be a better place if everyone had a favorite pride and we hope that you will too.
Second, Avoca is a Gaelic word meaning "the meeting of the waters". The imagery that comes to mind makes us think of exploring new places and coming together.
Who are we?
We are passionate travelers who like to see the world on our terms.

We don't buy packaged trips.
Each trip we take is carefully researched and we try to push for new experiences everywhere we go. We have a serious travel bug and are avid photographers. We thought that we would share our experiences through our journals and our photographs so that you could enjoy as well (itineraries too).
We hope you have as much fun as we did rafting the Arkansas River in Colorado. It was a blast.
