Tibet - history, culture and wonderful people. A travel note - you have to get a travel permit in addition to a Chinese visa to go to Tibet. They are only issued a few days before you can enter the country and can be rescinded at any time. China also closes the border to Tibet without notice, so plan for alternatives.
